The Cincinnati Bengals, according to sources around pro football, have decided not to re-sign Cedric Benson, their #1 running back. Sources also say the deal should be completed by Thursday when all of the final details are worked out, a three-year deal.

Green-Ellis spent four years with New England, rushing for 181 times for 667 yards in 2011 with 11 touchdowns.

In his career, since leaving the University of Mississippi Rebels in 2008, the undrafted 26-year-old, in his career has rushed for 2,042 yards, a 4.1 average with 27 touchdowns.

He’ll team with the other running backs on the team, Bernard Scott, Brian Leonard and Cedric Peerman.
