University of Dayton senior Chris Johnson will miss Wednesday’s game at St. Bonaventure after suffering a blow to the head in Monday’s practice.  He has not been diagnosed with a concussion but is being held from the trip as a precaution.
For the season, Johnson is third on the team in scoring (10.6).  He is also first in three-pointers made (33), second in rebounding (5.5), third in assists (29) and fourth in FT% (.806, 29-36).  He turned in back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Saint Louis and Temple to start Atlantic 10 play after fellow forward Josh Benson tore his ACL and was lost for the season.

Currently tied for 28th in career scoring at Dayton with 1,239 points, Johnson had started 57 straight games for the Flyers.

Dayton is 12-4 overall in 2011-12, and tied for first one week in the A-10 season with Charlotte and La Salle with a 2-0 record.  UD’s next game after St. Bonaventure is on Saturday, Jan. 14 at home against the Explorers.
