Ohio State Football Postgame Notes

  • With 18 completions Saturday, Dwayne Haskins broke J.T. Barrett’s Ohio State single-season completion record and now has 242 on the year. Barrett previously held the record with 240 in 2017.
  • The Buckeyes rushed for 233 yards against the Huskers, marking the second-most in a game this season and the most since the opener against Oregon State.
  • Johnnie Dixon’s 42-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter marked his fifth touchdown catch of the year.
  • Dixon tied his career high with five catches. He previously caught five passes against Indiana earlier this season.
  • J.K. Dobbins’ 10-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was his team-high fifth of the year before he tacked on his sixth of 2018 with a three-yard run in the third quarter and seventh with a 42-yard scamper in the fourth quarter. The game marked the first multi-touchdown game of the year for Dobbins and second of his career after scoring twice against Army in 2017.
  • The game marked the second time this season a Buckeye ran for three scores. Mike Weber scored three times earlier this season against Oregon State.
  • The blocked punt in the first quarter was the second of the year for the Buckeyes and marked Ohio State’s first recorded safety since the UNLV game in 2017.
  • Dobbins surpassed 2,000 career yards in the game. Along with Weber, they are the first running back duo on the same team in school history with 2,000 career rushing yards.
  • Parris Campbell’s nine-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter tied him with Terry McLaurin for the team lead with eight touchdown receptions.
  • Malik Harrison and Brendon White each set a career high with 13 tackles. White’s two tackles for loss were a career best.
