“That intensity from his voice, his aura, his reputation – all of that stuff, it demanded respect. When he opened his mouth, everybody listened.” – Champ Bailey

“I’m relentless at what I do. I’d do anything that needed to be done to help the team win.” – Brian Dawkins

“It’s a shame because I would have loved Brian to play every single year with us. He’s probably my all-time favorite player and I think our fanbase’s all-time favorite player.” – Jeffrey Lurie

“Two totally different personalities. When it was game time, it was like a light switch turned on and he became something else.” – Jeremiah Trotter

“Everything is ready to go. I would almost feel invincible, like a superhero.” – Brian Dawkins on his mentality walking through the tunnel onto the field

“The scoreboard never mattered. Whether they’re down 20 or up 20, he’s playing his butt off and I think Philly is always going to respect that about him.” – Jon Gruden

“I was putting on a mask every day. I know what that dark place feels like. If you’ve never gone through depression and if you’ve never truly had those thoughts, it sounds like a fairytale, it sounds like hubbub. But it’s not. It’s real.” – Brian Dawkins

“Brian really changed the way the game is played in the secondary from the safety position.” – Sean McDermott
