COLUMBUS — Columbus Crew SC travels to Children’s Mercy Park to face Sporting Kansas City tomorrow, Sunday, May 27, in a nationally televised clash and the lone regular-season meeting between the two clubs in 2018. The match kicks-off at 6:00 p.m. ET and is set to be televised nationally on FS1 with Nate Bukaty, Dan Kennedy and Katie Witham calling match action. Tomorrow’s match also airs locally on the radio on CD102.5 FM in English with pre-match coverage hosted by Dwight Burgess beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. Neil Sika will have the CD 102.5 FM call of the match at 6:00 p.m. ET, with post-match coverage to follow. The club’s official website, ColumbusCrewSC.com, is set to stream the English-language radio broadcast online as well as host the Spanish-language audio broadcast with Juan Valladares behind the microphone.

Last week, Crew SC left Gillette Stadium with three points thanks to a late goal from Lalas Abubakar. In the 85th minute, Federico Higuain delivered a corner kick to Abubakar who headed it nicely inside the far post for the victory over the New England Revolution.

Sporting Kansas City is coming off of a draw at Minnesota United. Both teams produced a goal in the first half but neither side was able to find a winner through the duration of the game.

In their last meeting, Crew SC and Sporting KC split points at MAPFRE Stadium. An early lead by Sporting KC gave way to an equalizer from Columbus at the end of the first half. Midfielder Pedro Santos sent a corner kick to Ola Kamara who delivered to the back of the net. Crew SC is 22-25-7 all time against Sporting KC.

The Black & Gold currently have the longest active shutout streak in Major League Soccer this season as the club has gone 405 minutes without conceding a goal. Columbus remains unbeaten in six games with four consecutive shutouts.
