The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum’s newest exhibit, Red to Bronze: The Story of Reds Statues, opens to the public March 10 at 10:00 a.m..
Red to Bronze: The Story of Reds Statues presented by Dinsmore & Shohl LLP chronicles and celebrates the nine Reds legends and their statues sculpted by local artist Tom Tsuchiya:
- Joe Nuxhall
- Ernie Lombardi
- Ted Kluszewski
- Frank Robinson
- Johnny Bench
- Joe Morgan
- Chuck Harmon (at P&G Cincinnati MLB Youth Academy)
- Tony Perez
- Pete Rose (to be unveiled June 17)
Through game-used and period items, fans will learn about these Reds icons and get a behind-the-scenes look at the process and tools used by Tsuchiya to craft these enduring tributes to some of the greatest players in Reds history.
The exhibit also includes a special focus on the creation of the new Pete Rose statue to be dedicated on June 17 at Great American Ball Park.
A media preview scheduled to feature Reds Hall of Famer Pete Rose will take place on Thursday, March 9 at 6 p.m. with an invitation only ribbon-cutting immediately following at 7 p.m. (not open to the public)
The exhibit opens to the public on Friday, March 10 at 10 a.m.
Reds Hall of Fame offers “Ultimate Ticket Experience” fundraiser
For a $20 donation to the Reds Hall of Fame, fans will receive a vintage Reds bobblehead, two ticket vouchers to the museum, as well as a chance to win an assortment of prizes. Fourteen (14) lucky winners and a guest will win the grand prize: an exclusive experiential ballpark tour on June 10, special meet and greet with Pete Rose on June 17 and VIP seating at his statue unveiling on that day. Admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum is $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors and $6 for active military/veterans. Children ages four and younger are free.
