BOSTON, MA- The Boston Red Sox announced the presentation of their traditional Patriots’ Day game, presented by Coca-Cola, on Monday, April 15 at 11:10 a.m. against the Cleveland Guardians. In keeping with a tradition that began on April 20, 2013, Red Sox players will wear home jerseys featuring “Boston” on the front in recognition of the 11-year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon. A blue ‘42’ will be on the back of the home white jerseys to mark Jackie Robinson Day. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 10:40 for special pregame ceremonies commemorating One Boston Day and the 77th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier.

Pregame ceremonies will include an acknowledgement of Krystal Campbell, Martin Richard, Lingzi Lu, and Officer Sean Collier. The presentation of colors will be provided by the End Zone Militia, and the American flag will be draped over the left-field wall as the National Anthem is performed by Sympli Whitney. The ceremonies will also include an on-field recognition of Jackie Robinson Scholars.

The first 7,500 fans in the ballpark will receive a Patriots’ Day replica jersey, presented by Coca-Cola.

In Honor of One Boston Day, on Wednesday, April 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the club will participate in a community beautification project at Hennigan Elementary School in Jamaica Plain. Joined by Hennigan School students and staff, as well as Wally and his sister, Tessie, the group will paint a Boston-themed mural, refurbish an outdoor activity space, and pack supply kits for classrooms. The project was planned in partnership with City Year Inc, a Boston-based education nonprofit dedicated to students’ and schools’ success. Additional information for this event will be available next week
