Columbus Fury announces 24-Match 2024 Schedule

COLUMBUS, Ohio— The Columbus Fury unveiled its 24-match regular season schedule for the inaugural 2024 Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) season. The Fury is one of seven founding members of the PVF with home matches held at Nationwide Arena. The PVF is the premier women’s professional volleyball league in the United States and will feature a 24-match schedule with each team playing twelve home and twelve road matches. The Fury will join the Atlanta Vibe, Grand Rapids Rise, Omaha Supernovas, Orlando Valkyries, San Diego Pro Volleyball, and Vegas Pro Volleyball for the 2024 season.

The Fury begins play on the road Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Grand Rapids Rise. The Fury will host the Omaha Supernovas for Opening Night at Nationwide Arena Wednesday, February 21 at 7 p.m. The home schedule includes eight weekend matches (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) and four weekday dates. Sunday matches are set for 2 p.m. All other home matches start at 7 p.m.

The PVF regular season concludes on Saturday, May 11, with the Fury hosting San Diego. The top four regular season finishers will move on to compete for the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship, May 16-19.

The Fury are coached by Ángel Pérez who comes to Columbus from the Puerto Rican Women’s Superior Volleyball League where he coached Las Pinkin de Corozal to back-to-back league championships. He was also twice named the league’s Manager of the Year. Before his transition to coaching, he was an outstanding professional player, playing in six different countries as well as representing Puerto Rico on the national team.

The team’s roster features Olympians, National Champions, NCAA All-Americans as well as international stars who have represented their home country for years. The Fury have signed thirteen of the top players in the world including Gabby Blossom, Megan Courtney, Kaitlyn Hord, Rainelle Jones, Valeria Leon, Kayla Lund, Karina Ocasio, Ivania Ortiz, Jamie Peterson, Jenna Rosenthal, Raymariely Santos, Maria Schlegel, and Ashley Wenz.
