Kurt Busch wins wild Nationwide race at Daytona

Kurt Busch was the winner of a wild and crash-filled Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Friday night. Busch held on for the last hundred yards in his battered car.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was second, Michael Arnett finished third, Austin Dillon fourth and Joey Logano rounded out the top five.

Dillon’s car spun across the track as he crossed the finish line and made contact with two other cars becoming finally stopping.

What a difference a week makes. Last weekend at Kentucky Speedway, Dillon was the winner, while Busch finished second.

The race had several crashes that left half the field on the lead lap for a green-white-checkered finish. Busch started the two-lap sprint to the title chasing Dillon, but with the help of Stenhouse, Jr., Busch was able to take the win.

Busch’s win was his second of the season and first with Phoenix Racing. His other win was for his brother, Kyle Busch Motorsports, at Richmond International Raceway.
