Prelude to the Dream Race: Final statistics; Kyle Busch wins over Tony Stewart

 

ROSSBURG, OHIO - Kyle Busch won the 2012 edition of the Prelude to the Dream race at Eldora Speedway.

His margin of victory over race founder and host Tony Stewart was 2.283 seconds.

Final race standings

Busch took the lead on lap 25 and held it to the end. He was really good on the re-starts.

His average speed was 51.211 mph.

There were 26 drivers in the race.

Race lap leaders included: Kasey Kahne 1-12, Clint Bowyer 13-21, Kasey Kahne 22-24, Kyle Busch 25-40.

There were 3 lead changes.

Time of the race: 23:25.951.

26 drivers participated in the feature race.

The standing-room only crowd was over 20,000.

The race was carried live via HBO via Pay-per-View.

There were 3,000 pounds of food donated by the fans in attendance.
