Less than two weeks ago on April 21, Phil Humber of the Chicago White Sox threw the first no-hitter of the 2012 baseball season against Seattle.

On Wednesday night, LA Angels ace pitcher Jared Weaver pitched the second no-hitter, overmatching the slumping Minnesota Twins, 9-0.

The Twins, who were swept by the Angels in a three-game series, was also shutout on Tuesday night by Jerome Williams in a 3-hitter as he retired 18 of the last 19 batters faced.

The flame-throwing Weaver struck out nine and walked one. He threw 121 pitches and kept the crowd of 27,288 in Anaheim on the edges of their seats once they saw the Twins could not muster anything close to a hit.

A product of nearby Long Beach State University, Weaver improves to 4-0.

The last out of the game was Alexi Casilla who flied out to right fielder Torii Hunter.

The 29-year-old pitched the second Angels no-hitter in less than a year, as teammate Ervin Santana hurled one last July 27 at Cleveland, and the 10th in the Angels history and the 250th in MLB history. Nolan Ryan threw four no-hitters for the Angels.
