Gresham producing, improving as Bengals TE

Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham caught five passes for 56 yards and an 11-yard touchdown on Sunday against Arizona.

The second-year TE is producing and improving on his rookie year stats.

In 13 games played, despite missing two due to an injury, his totals rank second on the team  in receptions 51 and third in receiving yards 524.

The 6’6, 260-pound, Gresham needs one catch in the season finale against the Baltimore Ravens to tie his rookie total of 52, which tied for the AFC lead for rookies. He then needs only three yards to match his rookie total of 471.

Gresham ranks third on the team in touchdowns with six. With one more TD, he will have the most by a Bengals TE in a season since 1997, when Tony McGee had six.

The Bengals record for touchdowns by a tight end is nine set by original Bengals tight end Bob Trumpy, who set the record in the 14-game season of 1969 and later tied by Rodney Holman in the 16-game season of  1989.
