Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott out of Semifinal game due to Covid-19 Protocol

Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott is out for the Sugar Bowl Playoff semifinal matchup with No. 3 Ohio State this Friday due to COVID-19 protocol according to head coach Dabo Swinney.

After getting off the plane when Clemson arrived in New Orleans, Coach Swinney said Elliott is feeling fine after the positive test.

Elliott has been on Swinney’s coaching staff since 2011 as a running backs coach and was elevated into a co-coordinator role before the 2014 Champs Sports Bowl versus Oklahoma.

The 41-year-old Elliott in December 2017, Tony Elliott was the recipient of the Broyles Award, presented to the top assistant coach in college football.

Elliott graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Clemson University in 2002 with a team-high 3.55 GPA. Upon graduation, he worked for Michelin North America for two years.
