Fan-Favorite Tait back on Cavs Radio
Cleveland Cavaliers Hall of Fame broadcaster Joe Tait has returned to the microphone.
His first game back was the Atlanta game on Sunday night.
The 73-year-old Tait, always a fan-favorite with Cavs fans, announced before the season that he would be retiring in April, plans to broadcast the Cav’s final five home games.
Tait has been the Cavaliers’ radio announcer for all but two seasons since the team came into the NBA as an expansion franchise in 1970.
Tait had been recuperating from double-bypass surgery and an aortic valve replacement in January. He was hospitalized in November with a blood clot in his lung.
