Arkansas senior Kyle Robinson was named the Southeastern Conference Baseball Player of the Week for hitting .474 with three homers and 13 RBI’s last week.

The award is the first weekly honor for the Arkansas baseball team this year and Robinson is the first Razorbacks player to be selected SEC Player of the Week since Zack Cox on March 29, 2010.

Robinson leads the Arkansas with a .465 batting average, with three homers and 21 RBI’s through 11 games in 2011.

In the SEC, Robinson leads the conference in RBI’s, is third in batting average and is third in homers.

During his blistering week, Robinson led the Razorbacks with a .947 slugging percentage over the five games last week and had a .542 on-base percentage.

Robinson, a native of Boca Raton, Florida, opened the week with a career-high four-for-four vs. McNeese State and had back-to-back four RBI games, including a grand slam in the second game of the series vs. McNeese State. He closed out the week in dramatic fashion, belting a game-winning, two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to clinch Arkansas’ series sweep over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
