CREW SC LOSES 2-1 AGAINST FC CINCINNATI ON THE ROAD On Wednesday night, Crew SC traveled south to face in-state rival FC Cincinnati for the fourth time in the 2020 MLS regular season. Scoring came early for Cincinnati as midfielder Yuya Kubo convert- ed a penalty kick in the 17th minute to put FCC up 1-0. Just before half time, Crew midfielder Pedro Santos drew a foul in the box, earning a penalty kick and converting the attempt to level the score at 1-1. Cincinnati defender Nick Hagglund headed in the eventual game-winning goal off a set piece in the 49th minute. The Black & Gold attack persisted but ran out of time, seeing the Crew lose for the first time in all-time regular-season action against FC CIncinnati by a score of 2-1.

CREW SC HOSTS NEW YORK CITY FC ON SUNDAY Crew SC hosts Eastern Conference opponent New York City FC on Sunday, October 18. The match is set to be the 14th all-time regularseason meeting between the two clubs. The match is also set to be the third regular-season match between the two sides in 2020. Notably, when playing at home, the Black & Gold hold a winning advantage over New York City FC with a 3-1-3 regular-season record.

LAST REGULAR-SEASON MEETING On August 24, 2020 , Crew SC traveled to Red Bull Arena to face New York City FC. The Crew battled in the first half against the New York City side, holding a 0-0 tie going into halftime. In the second half, New York City FC’s Alexander Ring scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 59th minute of the match. The second half was closely contest- ed, with Crew SC hitting five total shots (two on target) in an attempt to even the score. The Crew held firm after NYCFC’s lone goal, with goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell making two saves to keep the game within reach. Time ran short for the Black & Gold, who dropped their first match of the 2020 regular-season.

MAPFRE STADIUM TO HOST FANS FOR NEW YORK CITY FC HOME MATCH For the fifth time, MAPFRE Stadium is set to host a limited number (1500) of fans during its home match against New York City FC on Sunday. “While enjoying the match, when not actively eating or drinking, masks must remain on at all times and our Experience Team ushers will be increasing the number of trips up and down the stands during match action, continu- ing to enforce this rule as it is critical to the success of hosting matches,” said Crew SC Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Steve Lyons.
