Ohio State Rifle Team Season concluded at NCAA Qualifier

Ariel Hall earns individual spot at the 2020 National Championships (March 13-14)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University rifle team competed at the NCAA Qualifier over the weekend, posting a team score of 4,651. The squad was led by sophomore Ariel Hall who fired an aggregate score of 1,167.

“I want to first start out by thanking our two seniors Rhiann Travis and Jacob Buchanan” said head coach Ryan Tanoue. “They have been fantastic teammates, competitors, and friends over these past four years and it was very bittersweet to see their Ohio State careers come to a close on Saturday. The qualifier is always a challenging match and I felt that it turned out to be one of our best overall team performances of the season top to bottom with several individuals competing at season-best levels. Ariel [Hall] had a really great performance in air rifle which will give her the opportunity to compete at the NCAA Championships next month (March 13-14). We are very much looking forward to the official announcement of her selection on Tuesday.”
