Ivy League Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

Max Martz Penn

PRINCETON, N.J. – After leading their teams to weekend sweeps, Brown’s Tamenang Choh earns Ivy League Player of the Week, with Penn’s Max Martz takes home Rookie of the Week honors.

Yale and Princeton remain atop the standings at 5-1 with Penn and Brown moving into a tie for third place at 4-2.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tamenang Choh, Brown

  • Averaged 16 points as the Bears registered its second straight weekend sweep
  • Recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Dartmouth
  • Scored the final three points with 2.6 seconds left, including a game winning free throw against Harvard
  • Put up 17 points and six rebounds against the Crimson

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Max Martz, Penn
Averaged 14 points as Penn registered two road wins against Columbia and Cornell
Scored 11 points at Columbia in the second half when Penn broke a halftime tie to secure the win
Set a season high with seven rebounds in Sunday’s win at Cornell
Shot a combined 11-of-18 from the field including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
