  • The Blue Jackets are now 13-2-4 (30 pts.) in their last 19 contests, with their 30 points since Dec. 9 the most in the NHL.  The Blue Jackets are in a three-way tie with Carolina and Philadelphia with 56 points, but currently sit in the final Wild Card spot in the East due to one more game played than the Hurricanes (seventh) and having more regulation wins than the Flyers (ninth).
  • Columbus enhanced its record to 3-0-0 vs. Carolina this season.  The Blue Jackets have won four-straight games vs. the Canes and are 7-2-0 in their last nine contests vs. the team on home ice.  The two clubs will wrap their season series on Apr. 3, the ultimate game of the Jackets’ 2019-20 regular season slate.
  • Tonight’s meeting with Carolina began a stretch of three-straight games against Metro division opponents as Columbus hosts New Jersey on Saturday and play the NY Rangers on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.  Columbus has picked up points in seven-straight divisional contests (5-0-2).
  • The Blue Jackets are amidst a stretch of 14 of 16 games within the Eastern Conference from Jan. 14 to Feb. 20.  Columbus has a 12-game point streak within the conference (9-0-3).
  • The Blue Jackets boosted their record to 6-2-1 in Thursday contests this season and 25-6-2 on the weekday since Mar. 8, 2018.
  • Columbus raised its record to 9-1-4 this season when tied heading into the third period.
  • Columbus won the third period by a 2-to-1 margin and have outscored opponents 25-to-10 in third periods since Dec. 9 (19 games).  The club’s plus-15 differential in the final period in that span is the best in the NHL.
  • CBJ set a new single-game season high with 26 blocked shots in the game.  The club previously had 25 blocked shots on Dec. 12 at Pittsburgh.
  • Carolina outshot the Blue Jackets, 34-to-18 in the contest.
  • Columbus went 0-for-2 with the man-advantage in the game.
