Ohio State is No. 1 (232.3 yds./ game) and Wisconsin in No. 6 (277.0 yds./ game). OHIO STATE, WISCONSIN SQUARE OFF FOR BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY NIGHT Big Ten East Division Champion Ohio State, 12-0 on the season and a winner of 18 consecutive games dating back to last season, will look to win its 38th Big Ten Conference title when it meets West Division Champion Wisconsin (10-2) on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes completed an undefeated regular season last Saturday with its eighth straight victory over Michigan. Ohio State is powered by the nation’s No. 1 scoring off ense (49.9 points/game) and No. 4 scoring defense (11.8 points/game). The game features two of the best running backs in the country, as Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor is second nationally in rushing yards (1,761) while Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins is fourth (1,657).

SCOUTING WISCONSIN

 The Badgers won their fourth West Division title in the last five years with a 38-17 victory last week at Minnesota.

 Jonathon Taylor ranks second nationally in rushing yards (1,761) and fourth in rushing touchdowns (20).

 Quarterback Jack Coan has 17 touchdowns this season against just four interceptions with 2,309 yards and a 72.3 completion percentage (tops in the Big Ten).

 Quintez Cephus is Coan’s top target with 45 receptions for 720 yards and a team high six touchdowns.

 Wisconsin possesses the nation’s No. 6-ranked total defense, allowing an average of 277.0 yards per game.

 The Badgers’ run defense, which is No. 7 nationally, is keyed by the play of Zack Baun, who has 18.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 quarterback sacks.

 Linebacker Chris Orr also has 11.5 sacks, second most to Chase Young’s 16.5 in the Big Ten.

SERIES HISTORY VS. WISCONSIN

 Ohio State leads the all-time series 60-18- 5 with wins in each of the last six contests and 10 of the last 11.

 Over the last 11 meetings, six games have been decided by seven points or less, including one overtime game (a 21-14 win for Ohio State in 2012) and a last-second Buckeye win in 2011 (33-29 on a Braxton Miller-to-Devin Smith touchdown with 20 seconds remaining).

 Ohio State and Wisconsin are the Big Ten’s winningest programs over the last decade.

 The Buckeyes are 104-17 in that span while Wisconsin is 101-32.

 This is the sixth consecutive game with both teams nationally ranked.

 Ohio State is 13-5-2 against Wisconsin when both teams are ranked.

OHIO STATE VS. WISCONSIN II

 Just how rare is it for Ohio State to be facing an opponent for the second time in a season?

 The one and only time it happened in program history was 44 years ago.

 During the 1975 season, Ohio State played UCLA in the fourth game of the season and then faced the Bruins again in the 1976 Rose Bowl.
