NFL Media announces Giants-Patriots Game was successful across all platforms with 16.8 Million viewers

Total Viewership of 16.8 Million Across TV and Digital –

Up +13% vs. 2018 11-Game FOX ‘Thursday Night Football’ Average ​

Average Minute Audience on All Digital Platforms, Including Amazon, Hits 1.2 Million –

Up +66% vs. 2018 11-Game Average & Up +54% vs. Week 6 Last Year

Last night’s Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum game featuring the New England Patriots’ 35-14 win over the New York Giants was seen by an average audience of 16.8 million across all platforms, including FOX, NFL Network, FOX Deportes, NFL digital, FOX Sports digital, Amazon Prime Video, Twitch and Yahoo Sports.

The 16.8 million viewers for Giants-Patriots across all platforms is up +13% versus the 2018 11-game FOX Thursday Night Football average (14.9 million) and up +9% versus last year’s Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants (15.4 million).

Season-to-date, the Thursday Night Football tri-cast is averaging 16.8 million viewers – up +14% versus the comparable point last season (14.8 million).

The Nielsen-measured audience was 16.0 million – up +12% versus the 2018 11-game FOX Thursday Night Football average (14.3 million) and up +8% versus the 2018 Week 6 Thursday Night Football game (14.8 million). Additionally, Giants-Patriots averaged a 9.5 HH rating – up +9% versus the 2018 11-game FOX Thursday Night Football average (8.7 HH rating) and up +6% versus last year’s Eagles-Giants matchup (8.9 HH rating).

Digital streaming across Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, NFL digital, FOX Sports digital and Yahoo Sports platforms produced an average minute audience of 1.2 million – up +66% versus the 2018 11-game FOX Thursday Night Football average (728K) and up +54% versus last year’s Week 6 Thursday Night Football matchup (782K).

Amazon Prime Video and Twitch reached a total of 2.9 million combined viewers worldwide for the FOX NFL Thursday pregame show and the Giants-Patriots game. For the Giants-Patriots game alone, 2.6 million worldwide viewers initiated a stream on Prime Video or Twitch. The average worldwide audience watching the Thursday Night Football game for at least 30 seconds on Prime Video or Twitch was 766K.

The 2019 Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum season continues Thursday, October 17 when the Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Denver Broncos in an AFC West divisional matchup. Coverage from Denver begins at 6:00 PM ET on NFL Network with NFL GameDay Kickoff and 7:30 PM ET on FOX with FOX NFL Thursday.
