NFL Network announces ’100 Greatest’ Series Continues Friday, September 20 at 8 PM ET with ‘NFL 100 Greatest Plays,’ Parts 3 and 4

he Top 30 NFL Plays of All-Time Revealed In Back-to-Back One-Hour Episodes​

Features Interviews with NFL Players, Legends and Celebrities Including Odell Beckham Jr., Aaron Donald, Marcus Allen, Steve Harvey, Joe Manganiello and Jon Hamm

 

Following last week’s premiere of the NFL 100 Greatest series which unveiled numbers 100 through 31 of the NFL 100 Greatest Plays, the final 30 greatest plays to ever occur in the NFL’s 100 seasons will be counted down in parts 3 and 4 Friday, September 20 at 8:00 PM ET.

The final 30 greatest plays in NFL history are chronicled through NFL Films video and sound, intermixed with memories and recollections from celebrities, NFL Legends, coaches and current players on what made each moment one for the ages.

Plays 100 through 31, revealed in parts 1 and 2 of last week’s premiere of NFL 100 Greatest can be viewed at NFL.com/100Greatest.

Among the NFL’s greatest plays to make the Top 30:

  • “The Catch,” Joe Montana pass to Dwight Clark (January 10, 1982)
  • Marcus Allen 74-yard touchdown run in Super Bowl XVIII (January 22, 1984)
  • Bo Jackson 91-yard touchdown run into the stadium tunnel on Monday Night Football (November 30, 1987)
  • The Holy Roller (September 10, 1978)
  • Steve Gleason blocks punt in the Saints’ return to the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina on Monday Night Football (September 25, 2006)
  • John Riggins 4th down 43-yard touchdown run for glory in Super Bowl XVII (January 30, 1983)
  • Marshawn Lynch “Beast Quake” run through the Saints for a 67-yard touchdown (January 8, 2011)

For the NFL 100 Greatest series, NFL Films conducted more than 400 interviews with celebrities, current NFL stars and Legends that will air across 20, one-hour episodes with four episodes dedicated to each topic.

The NFL and the Associated Press (AP) came together to select the 100 greatest across five categories – Plays, Games, Characters, Game Changers and Teams. The 80-person blue-ribbon panel was comprised of experts selected by the AP and NFL Media.

NFL 100 Greatest serves at the lead-off series for the slate of NFL 100 original programming headlining NFL Network’s primetime lineup on Friday nights this season. NFL 100 Greatest series continues next week with parts 1 and 2 of NFL 100 Greatest Games Friday, September 27 at 8:00 PM ET.
