THURSDAY NIGHT PREVIEW:

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (4-2) AT DENVER BRONCOS (2-4)

Week 7 of the NFL’s 100th season kicks off on Thursday, October 17 (8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFL Network/Amazon Prime), as the Kansas City Chiefs travel to Denver to visit the Broncos in an AFC West showdown. It will mark the 118th regular-season meeting in the rivalry, with the Chiefs holding the all-time series advantage, 63-54. Kansas City has won the past seven meetings, including both 2018 matchups by a combined 11 points.

Kansas City quarterback PATRICK MAHOMES enters Thursday night with 7,485 passing yards in 24 career games and needs 15 yards to become the fastest player in NFL history to reach 7,500 passing yards. In 2019, Mahomes leads the league with 2,104 passing yards through Week 6 while ranking second in passer rating (111.9) and tied for second in touchdown passes (14). Wide receiver TYREEK HILL had his sixth career game with at least two touchdown catches in last week, the most in the NFL since 2017. Tight end TRAVIS KELCE aims for his fifth game in a row against the Broncos with a touchdown catch, and his 762 career receiving yards against Denver are the most against any opponent in his career.

In Week 6, Denver won its second consecutive game, defeating Tennessee, 16-0, as kicker BRANDON McMANUS converted all three of his field-goal attempts and running back PHILLIP LINDSAY rushed for 70 yards and the game’s only touchdown. Running back ROYCE FREEMAN added 76 scrimmage yards (42 receiving, 34 rushing) and a team-high five catches in the win. Lindsay (544 scrimmage yards) and Freeman (429) are the only pair of running back teammates each with at least 400 scrimmage yards in 2019.

The Denver defense recorded its first shutout since Week 14 of the 2017 season, while registering seven sacks and three interceptions, both season highs. Defensive end DEREK WOLFE had two sacks and safety JUSTIN SIMMONS recorded an interception for the second consecutive game. Cornerback CHRIS HARRIS registered his 20th career interception last week, becoming the only cornerback since 2011 with 20 interceptions and at least four sacks (4.5). Defensive end VON MILLER is one of three active players with 100 career sacks (100.5) and his 18 tackles for loss against Kansas City are the most against any opponent in his career.

Adding to television availability, several streaming options will be available to fans. FOX Thursday Night Football games will be available to stream on Amazon via Prime Video and Twitch in addition to NFL, FOX and FOX Deportes digital properties across devices.* During the season, fans can learn all of the ways to watch at NFL.com/TNF.
