Best-of-seven series starts Wednesday in Tampa, shifts to Columbus for Game 3 on Sunday, April 14

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series between the Columbus Blue Jackets and top-seeded Tampa Bay Lightning has been set with start times and network coverage through the first four games, the club and National Hockey League announced today. The series marks the Blue Jackets’ third consecutive postseason appearance and first against the Lightning, which captured the 2018-19 Presidents’ Trophy for best overall record in the National Hockey League. The schedule with broadcast information follows:

Live coverage of games carried by FOX Sports Ohio begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting 30 minutes prior to game time with an expanded 60-minute show preceding Game Three on Sunday, April 14.  All games televised on FOX Sports Ohio will also be streamed live via FOX Sports GO.  All Blue Jackets playoff games will be broadcast live on the Eldorado Scioto Downs Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan, and online at BlueJackets.com.  Coverage will begin with a one-hour pre-game show prior to each radio broadcast.

Blue Jackets to host fan activities surrounding NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Activities include road-game watch parties at PINS Mechanical, home-game plaza parties at Nationwide Arena

 

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets invite fans to take part in various game-night festivities surrounding the 2019 Blue Jackets Stanley Cup Playoffs, presented by AEP, Huntington, OhioHealth and Vector Security. As the Blue Jackets open their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa Bay with games on Wednesday, April 10 and Friday, April 12, the Jackets will host CBJ Playoff Watch Parties.

 

Watch parties for Games 1 and 2 will take place simultaneously at PINS Mechanical flagship in downtown Columbus (141 N. Fourth Street, Columbus OH 43215) and its suburban location in Dublin (6558 Riverside Drive, Dublin OH 43017). The parties start half hour before game time and will feature CBJ personalities, a DJ, prize giveaways and photo opportunities.

 

When the series shifts to Columbus, Nationwide presents the pre-game parties on the Front Street plaza in front of Nationwide Arena starting three hours before each home game. On Sunday, April 14, fans may enjoy music, attractions, beverage stations and watch an hour-long edition of FOX Sports Ohio’s Blue Jackets Live pre-game show hosted by Brian Giesenschlag and Bill Davidge starting at 6 p.m. Prior to Game 4 on Tuesday, April 16, Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan’s Common Man & T-Bone broadcast live from the plaza from 3-6 p.m. Game tickets are not required to attend the plaza parties. For complete information on all Blue Jackets Stanley Cup Playoffs events, promotions and team news, visit BlueJackets.com.

Jackets recall defenseman Adam Clendenning from Cleveland Monsters

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Adam Clendening from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate.

 

Clendening, 26, has recorded three shots and a +1 plus/minus rating in four games with the Blue Jackets this season.  Signed by Columbus as a free agent to a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract on July 1, 2018, he has registered 4-20-24, 49 penalty minutes and a +11 plus/minus rating in 90 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Arizona Coyotes, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks.

Adam Clendenning

 

The Niagara Falls, New York native ranks eighth among AHL defensemen in penalty minutes and ninth-T in assists and leads the Monsters in assists, penalty minutes and plus/minus rating with 4-32-36, 98 penalty minutes and a +17 plus/minus rating in 44 appearances this season.  He has registered 32-165-197, 365 penalty minutes and a +48 plus/minus rating in 305 career AHL games from 2012-19.  The 6-0, 194-pound blueliner was selected by Chicago in the second round, 36th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft.
