Ohio State Buckeyes News: 25 Graduates on Rose Bowl Roster after Autumn Graduation

DECEMBER 20, 2021

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A total of 20 current and former Ohio State University football players graduated Sunday during the university’s Autumn commencement exercises at the Jerome Schottenstein Center.

The contingent of graduates includes 15 current members of the team with two players – DT Antwuan Jackson and TE Corey Rau – each picking up a second bachelor’s degree. Jackson earned a degree in sociology after previously graduating with a degree in human development and family science; and Rau earned a degree in sports coaching after previously earning a bacherlor’s degree from SMU in sport management.

Eight players who have started games for the Buckeyes graduated Sunday: CB Sevyn Banks, DT Jerron Cage, DT Antwuan Jackson, OG Matt Jones, LB Teradja Mitchell, WR Chris Olave, OT Nicholas Petit-Frere and DE Tyreke Smith. The graduates increase Ohio State’s total to 25 current graduates on the team. Ohio State will play Utah Jan. 1 in the 108th Rose Bowl Game presented by Capital One Venture X. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. EST.

The latest graduates include a number of former Buckeye football players, including Jaylen Harris (communications), Andy Katzenmoyer (personalize study program in the College of Arts and Science), Chris Kuhn (constructions systems management), Roen McCullough (finance) and Tommy Togiai (consumer and family financial services). Togiai and Katzenmoyer graduated through the school’s Degree Completion Program.
