Pride to receive 2023 NWSL Draft natural second-round pick, natural third-round pick or allocation money, pending conditions met

CHICAGO (December 1, 2021) – San Diego Wave FC has acquired English international Jodie Taylor through the 2022 season with an option to extend the contract for the 2023 season. In exchange, upon execution of the trade Orlando will receive Wave FC’s 2023 NWSL Draft natural second-round pick, natural third-round pick or allocation money, pending conditions met.

Taylor is the second player to join Wave FC – after defender Abby Dahlkemper – ahead of the expansion team’s inaugural season in 2022.

The English international signed with the Pride midway through the 2021 NWSL campaign after her rights were acquired from North Carolina earlier in the year. She appeared in 13 matches, scoring three goals and adding two assists.
