LAFC and Bob Bradley today announced they have reached a mutual decision to part ways at the end of Bradley’s contract.

“Bob has been fantastic as the first and only head coach for this Club, LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington said. “He provided strong leadership and has been a great ambassador for LAFC. Bob helped us develop a winning culture and established a legacy that will always be a part of LAFC’s history.”

The second-winningest active coach in Major League Soccer history, Bradley led the Black & Gold to a 58-34-32 record and 206 points in his four years with the Club. Under Bradley, LAFC set the record for most points in an expansion season in 2018 and made the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals, won the 2019 Supporter’s Shield with an MLS record 85 goals and a then MLS record of 72 points, and advanced to the 2020 Concacaf Champions League Final, becoming the first MLS team to defeat three Liga MX Clubs in a single tournament.

“It’s been incredible to have played a part in the early history of LAFC,” Bradley said. “From the beginning there was a real commitment to connect to the city and the fans and we shared some amazing experiences.”

Bradley, 63, is a three-time winner of the MLS Coach of the Year award and won the 2019 award for leading LAFC in its record-breaking season. The former U.S. National Team manger owns a career MLS record of 182-127-86 (W-L-T) and ranks third in MLS victories all-time.

“We are grateful to Bob for his service to LAFC and the city of Los Angeles, “Thorrington said. “He helped lay a foundation for this Club that we will build on as we wish him well in his next chapter. I am confident in our Club and process that we will find the next head coach who will help lead us forward.”
