Ohio State Buckeyes Women’s Volleyball: Emily Londot Named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week

Opposite hitter Emily Londot earned the honor after averaging 4.50 kills per set last week.  

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference released its weekly volleyball awards on Monday. Sophomore opposite hitter Emily Londot was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week for her play this past week.  

Londot continued to lead the Ohio State offense as the Buckeyes picked up sweeps against Michigan State and Michigan. Londot totaled 27 kills through the two matches (4.50 per set), 22 digs (3.67 per set) and six blocks (1.00 per set) on the week. She led both matches in kills among either team.  

On Sunday, Londot notched her fourth double-double of the season (12 kills, 14 digs) as she was just one shy of the digs’ leader on either team. This is the 11th and 12th time this season Londot has reached 10 kills. She leads the Buckeyes with 209 kills (3.87 per set) this season.
