NHL News: Calgary Flames’ Coleman Suspended One Preseason Game and One Regular-Season Game for Boarding

NEW YORK (Oct. 7, 2021) – Calgary Flames forward Blake Coleman has been suspended for one preseason game and one regular-season game, without pay, for boarding Winnipeg Jets forward Jansen Harkins during NHL Preseason Game No. 79 in Winnipeg on Wednesday, Oct. 6, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 6:15 of the second period. Coleman was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Coleman will forfeit $24,500.00. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
