Ohio State Football opponent Week 2: Tulsa adds Tennessee transfer CB Kenney Solomon

TULSA, Okla.  –– The University of Tulsa added University of Tennessee cornerback Kenney Solomon to the Golden Hurricane roster.  Solomon is the seventh transfer student-athlete to join the Tulsa football roster since June 1.
 
With the extra collegiate season due to Covid-19, Solomon has three years of eligibility remaining. He is the fourth defensive newcomer transferring to Tulsa since June 1 and the third cornerback joining the Hurricane.
 
Solomon, a 6’0″, 185-pound defensive back, spent two seasons at Tennessee and played in 21 career games. He began his career at cornerback as a true freshman in 2019 and moved to running back for his sophomore season. Solomon also was a sprinter on the Vols track & field team.
 
A native of Myrtle Beach, SC, Solomon was a consensus three-star recruit from Socastee High School, where be starred on offense, defense and special teams. He totaled eight interceptions in his final two prep seasons, while scoring six touchdowns during his senior campaign.
