- Kentucky State and Central State will meet for the 60th time on Saturday at the Classic for Columbus. The kickoff from inside Ohio Stadium in Columbus will be at 3 p.m.
- The Thorobreds will make their return after a year of no play due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2019 they finished on a two-game win streak and a 7-3 overall record.
- During the 2019 season, the Thorobreds defeated two NCAA Division I opponents. The first DI opponent defeated was Robert Morris 13-7 and then defeated Jackson State 33-25 at the Circle City Classic.

- Brett Sylve led the Thorobreds in 2019 with 1110 rushing yards, nine touchdowns and averaged 109.30 yards per game. He had a season-long rush of 52 yards and earned one receiving touchdown.
- Anthony Geter was a pivotal piece of the Kentucky State offensive line by helping hold down the offensive side of the ball that allowed the Thorobred offense to rush for a total of 1764 yards and kept the defense away from the quarterback allowing only 11 sacks for the entire season.
