OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s optioned first baseman/designated hitter Frank Schwindel to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.
Schwindel was selected from Las Vegas on June 29 and went 3-for-20 (.150) with a home run and three RBI in eight games with the A’s. He started four games at designated hitter, went 0-for-4 as a pinch hitter, and also appeared in one game at first base. Schwindel is hitting .324 with 16 home runs and 41 RBI in 44 games with the Aviators.
