NHL fines Minnesota Wild’s Hartman for dangerous trip

NEW YORK (May 14, 2021) – Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for a dangerous trip against St. Louis Blues forward Sammy Blais during NHL Game No. 803 in St. Louis on Thursday, May 13, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 12:54 of the second period. Hartman was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
