Roster moves continue for the Oakland Athletics

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s placed left-handed pitcher Jesús Luzardo on the injured list with a left hand fracture and recalled left-handed pitcher Adam Kolarek from their alternate site, the club announced today.

Luzardo was 1-3 with a 5.79 ERA (18 er in 28.0 ip) with 30 strikeouts and 12 walks in six starts with the A’s this season. He held opponents to a .289 average, including a .280 mark against lefties and .292 against righties.

Kolarek rejoins the A’s after being optioned to the alternate site on April 26. Kolarek was on the A’s Opening Day roster and compiled an 8.44 ERA in eight relief appearances. He allowed a .308 opponents batting average and yielded two home runs in 5.1 innings.
