Blue Jackets recall Mikhail Grigorenko from Taxi Squad; assign Zac Dalpe

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Mikhail Grigorenko from the taxi squad and assigned forward Zac Dalpe to the team’s taxi squad, club General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Grigorenko, 26, has posted two goals and five assists for seven points with two penalty minutes in 18 games this season.  He signed a one-year contract with the club on July 16, 2020 and made his Blue Jackets debut in the season-opener on January 14 at Nashville.  He scored his first goal with the club on January 23 vs. Tampa Bay.  The Khabarovsk, Russia native has recorded 24-47-71 and 32 penalty minutes in 235 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche and Buffalo Sabres.  The 6-3, 206-pound forward was originally selected by Buffalo in the first round, 12th overall, at the 2012 NHL Draft.

Dalpe, 31, made his Blue Jackets season debut on March 30 at Tampa Bay and has skated in three games.  He has posted 12-13-25 with 36 penalty minutes in 144 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks and Carolina Hurricanes since making his League debut in 2010-11.  The 6-2, 194-pound center has recorded 0-1-1 and 13 penalty minutes in 16 career contests with the Blue Jackets from 2017-21.  A native of Paris, Ontario, he has added 151-134-285, 185 penalty minutes and a cumulative +17 plus/minus rating in 383 career AHL games, including 3-1-4 and five penalty minutes in five outings with Cleveland in 2020-21.  Originally selected by Carolina in the second round, 45th overall, at the 2008 NHL Draft, Dalpe was claimed off waivers by Columbus on Feb. 27, 2017.
