Minnesota Twins final Spring Training cuts sets Opening Day Roster

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned outfielder Brent Rooker to the alternate training site and have reassigned left-handed pitcher Brandon Waddell and right-handed pitcher Derek Law to minor league camp. Additionally, they have placed right-handed pitcher Edwar Colina on the 10-day Injured List with right elbow inflammation.

The Twins 26-man Opening Day roster is now set (see below):

PITCHERS (13): Jorge Alcala, José Berríos, Alex Colomé, Randy Dobnak, Tyler Duffey, J.A. Happ, Kenta Maeda, Michael Pineda, Hansel Robles, Taylor Rogers, Matt Shoemaker, Cody Stashak and Caleb Thielbar

CATCHERS (3): Willians Astudillo, Mitch Garver and Ryan Jeffers

INFIELDERS (5): Luis Arraez, Josh Donaldson, Jorge Polanco, Miguel Sanó and Andrelton Simmons

OUTFIELDERS (4): Byron Buxton, Jake Cave, Kyle Garlick and Max Kepler

DESIGNATED HITTER (1): Nelson Cruz

INJURED LIST (1): Edwar Colina
