Former NJ governor Chris Christie among newest members of NY Mets board of directors

FLUSHING, N.Y., March 19, 2021 – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Jeanne Melino will join the Mets’ Board of Directors, effective immediately. Jeanne Melino will also be joining the Mets as Senior Vice President of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation and will be overseeing community engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for the team.

“Chris and Jeanne are friends and trusted advisers with decades of leadership experience,” Owner, Chairman and CEO Steve Cohen said. “I welcome them both to the Board and I look forward to working with them on behalf of our fans, our community and the team.”

They will join Steve, Chairman Emeritus Fred Wilpon and Mets Vice Chairman Andrew Cohen on the Board.
