Game Basics

  • Ohio State entered the 2021 Big Ten Tournament as the No. 5 seed and defeated No. 13 Minnesota 79-75 Thursday and then No. 4 Purdue 87-78 Friday in overtime at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes take on No. 1 seed Michigan Saturday.
  • Chris Holtmann teams are 3-4 all-time against the Wolverines. Ohio State is 99-78 all-time in the series. Ohio State is 4-2 on neutral courts, including a 4-1 record in Big Ten Tournament play.
  • Ohio State is ranked No. 9 in the Associated Press poll this week. Michigan is No. 4. When the Buckeyes are ranked nationally, Ohio State is 36-10 vs. the Wolverines. When Michigan is ranked in the game, the Wolverines are 28-16. When both teams are ranked in the game, Ohio State leads 8-7.
