FOX Sports Ohio to reveal all-time Blue Jackets Teams in special show debuting Thursday evening at 6 PM

The 30-minute special recognizes the top players through the club’s first 20 NHL seasons

COLUMBUS, OH — In commemoration of the Columbus Blue Jackets’ 20th National Hockey League season in 2020-21, the club and FOX Sports Ohio will unveil the club’s all-time team in a special 30-minute program debuting on the network this Thursday, March 11, at 6 p.m. ET, the Blue Jackets and FOX Sports Ohio announced today.  The show, hosted by CBJ play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer and color analyst Jody Shelley, includes interviews with current and former players, as well as media panelists that were part of the selection process.  The program will air again at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, following that night’s game against the Florida Panthers with multiple replays scheduled throughout the month of March.

As part of the club’s 20th Anniversary season celebration in 2020-21, the Blue Jackets conducted a poll to determine the First and Second Team All-Time Blue Jackets lineup featuring one center, two wingers, two defensemen and one goaltender on each team.  A panel of 35 former and current players, current and former team broadcasters and select local and national media participated in the voting last summer.

The panelists included:  current Blue Jackets players Cam Atkinson, Nick Foligno and David Savard; former players Jared Boll, Marc Denis, Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, Scott Hartnell, Fredrik Modin, Rick Nash, Jody Shelley, Fedor Tyutin and R.J. Umberger; team broadcasters Bill Davidge, Dave Maetzold, George Matthews, Bob McElligott and Jeff Rimer; local media members Michael Arace, Brian Hedger, Alison Lukan, Craig Merz, Aaron Portzline, Tom Reed, Mike Ricordati, Lori Schmidt, Jerod Smalley, Jeff Svoboda and Dom Tiberi; longtime Columbus media members Bob Hunter, Larry Larson and Rusty Miller; and national media personalities Kevin Allen, Nick Cotsonika, Tom Gulitti and Eddie Olczyk.

All Blue Jackets programming streams live on FOX Sports GO, which is currently available on mobile and tablet devices, including iOS and Android as well as foxsportsgo.com.  FOX Sports GO is also available on connected devices including, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku Players and Roku TV, and Xbox One. 

The Blue Jackets return to action on Tuesday when they host the Florida Panthers.  Puck drop from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET.  Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m.  All Blue Jackets games televised on FOX Sports Ohio will also be streamed live via FOX Sports GO.  The game may also be heard on the Eldorado Scioto Downs Blue Jackets Radio Network, including 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, and online at BlueJackets.com.
