Ohio State’s Aneka Seumanutafa Named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week

Buckeye sophomore finished runner-up at the Gators Invitational at 2-under par 

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore Aneka Seumanutafa finished runner-up at the Gators Invitational this week and has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Seumanutafa fired rounds of 70-68-70 (-2) on the 6,002-yard par-70 Mark Bostic Golf Club layout to be just one of four players to finish the 54-hole event under par. She also led the field with 14 birdies on the week.

This was her second consecutive Top 3 finish as she also finished third at the FAU Paradise Invitational two weeks ago. She was 3-under in that event.

For the year, Seumanutafa has a scoring average of 70.86 and five of her seven rounds have been at par or better. This is the third Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor of her career (2/27/19, 3/13/19).

The Buckeyes remain in Florida this weekend for the Florida State Match Up which begins on Friday.
