FINAL RESULTS

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Another great tournament for Ohio State sophomore Aneka Seumanutafa as the sophomore finished runner-up at the Gators Invitational this week.

Seumanautafa was one of just four players under-par for the 54-hole event. She carded a final round 70 on Tuesday and finished just three shots off the pace at 2-under 208. This finished followed a third place showing at the FAU Paradise Invitational two weeks ago where she finished that event at 3-under par.

As a team, the Buckeyes finished ninth in the 14-team field at 41-over par. Scoring was tough on all three days as just one team carded a single under-par round.

Lauren Peter opened with rounds of 70-72 and came home on Tuesday with a 78 to finish in a tie for 29th at 10-over par. Freshman Kailie Vongsaga had her best round of the event on Tuesday with a 3-over 73. She finished in 59th at 18-over. Skylar Thompson carded a final round 75 and Kristin Jamieson posted a 76.

The Buckeyes will remain in Florida this week to prepare for the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla. The first round is set for Friday.
