Ohio State men’s basketball hosts Northwestern Wednesday Night to complete season’s series

COLUMBUS, Ohio –No. 21 Ohio State (9-3, 3-3) are back in action at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Value City Arena in Columbus vs. Northwestern (6-4, 3-3). The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network.

GAME BASICS

·       Ohio State and Northwestern meet on the hardwood with a 7 p.m. tip Wednesday at Value City Arena in Columbus. The Big Ten Network will televise.

·       The Buckeyes left Piscataway, New Jersey with a key road win over No. 15 Rutgers last Sunday, 79-68. Duane Washington Jr. led the way for Ohio State with 17 points.   

·       Ohio State is 3-3 in the Big Ten with all three losses on the road. The Buckeyes are 2-0 in home conference games this season. 

·       Chris Holtmann’s teams are 5-2 vs. Northwestern. Ohio State is 13-1 all-time at Value City Arena vs. the Wildcats.  

·       Ohio State leads the all-time series against Northwestern, 120-48. The Buckeyes are 69-15 in Columbus with a 50-33 record in Evanston, Illinois. The Buckeyes are 1-0 in neutral-site meetings.

·       It’s Land of Lincoln week for the Buckeyes with a 7 p.m. home game vs. Northwestern (Evanston) Wednesday and a noon road contest at Illinois (Champaign) Saturday. It will be 1,477 days (4 yrs, 16 days) since the Buckeyes last played in Champaign (Jan. 1, 2017).
